Leopard Hotel Room with a View

Here is the morning view out the window of the room Mark Biernacki and I are sharing. ¬†We’ll be up there soon enough…after a long walk…

  1. Thinking about all of you climbing to the top of Kili, a friend recently sent me a song that has some uplifting words to contemplate as you are climbing. I wanted to share with you all as you climb. I hope the words are uplifting!

    “When I am down and, oh, my soul, so weary;
    When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
    Then I am still and wait here in the silence,
    Until you come and sit awhile with me.
    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up to more than I can be.
    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up to more than I can be.
    There is no life – no life without it’s hunger;
    Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
    But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
    Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up to more than I can be.

    You raise me up to more than I can be!

    Can’t wait to hear accounts of your adventures!
