TDS earns $4,000 at annual Yard Sale

Led by volunteer Peter Schram, the TDS Yard Sale – the nonprofit’s largest in-house fundraiser – brought in approximately $4,000 Aug. 24 to 26 to support TDS’s mission.

Many TDS advocates came to the sale at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1915 N. First St. in DeKalb, to shop as proceeds will fund projects to improve the quality of life of youth, especially girls, in the Mara region of Tanzania or other identified expenses.

TDS hopes to partner with the church again for next year’s yard sale as it provides a good opportunity to fundraise while informing the public face-to-face about TDS.

Attendees remarked how they look forward to the sale because TDS offers a variety of reasonably-priced, quality merchandise. The merchandise is donated for resale and the sale, run by volunteers, took four days to set up and take down.

See you at the TDS Yard Sale next year!
