Water Walk for Awareness
Raise awareness about the challenges that girls in the Mara region face on a daily basis by hosting a water walk in a neighborhood or community park. Participants fetch water and carry it around the park to simulate the daily chore that young girls in Africa are required to do on a daily basis. The low cost event is a great way to share the mission of TDS and engage with people in your community. To learn more about hosting a water walk, please reach out to us.
Host a Guest Speaker
If you are a member of a community service organization (e.g. Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.) and would like to have someone from TDS speak to your club about potential areas of collaboration, please let us know. We have experience working with clubs on past projects and are able to help coordiante with local clubs in Tanzania, if necessary. To schedule a speaker, please reach out to us and let us know the location of your club and available dates.
Host a Dinner Party
Do you have a small group of friends and family that are interested in learning more about how you can support youth in Tanzania? Host an intimate get together over some traditional African dishes and discuss how you can come together to support changing the lives of families in the Mara region. We can help you plan a menu and provide the information that you need to have a meaningful discussion.
Create a Custom Event
Do you have experience with fundraising events or promotion? We are always looking for creative ways of sharing the word about our mission and gaining support for our programs. If you are interested in hosting an event that is not listed, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will work with you to put on an event or marketing campaign, and can provide information or web based support for most volunteer efforts.
